Certified Technician?

I have been in the garage door industry for a number of years. In the beginning, I had no idea what "certified technicians" meant. I thought that garage door companies basically hired employees who had mechanical skills. I was naïve in the hiring standards and made my mistakes along the way. Sadly, I made the mistake of hiring insurance scammers, addicts, and thieves. Our company paid the price for my mistakes!

I learned that in order to maintain satisfied customers and continue to receive positive feedback from our customers, it is critical to screen and train our employees rigorously.

At Precision Door Service Lansing, our technicians MUST complete and pass one month of classroom training followed by another month of "on the road" training with a certified technician before they can go on the road alone. Our extensive training exposes them to many possible repairs needed on most garage door operating systems.

Prior to certification, our technicians are also required to:

1. Complete a full physical
2. Pass initial and random 10 panel drug screen testing
3. Have and maintain a completely clean driving record
4. Have and maintain a clean criminal background record
5. Have and maintain a clean credit check

We are proud to take these measures to ensure that our customers are satisfied and comfortable with our employees. A lot of companies can "say" that they have certified technicians. We can actually provide you with proof of this statement. On our website you can view "your" technician's photos, biographies and test results. And, after your appointment, we will ask you to provide feedback on your overall experience.
