Was very unimpressed with the upselling I received from your company. We were told our garage door opener was "fried" and needed to be replaced. We were told there was a specific replacement model being recommended by your company that was on the truck for $480. We asked about replacing circuit boards, etc. but were told it would be a whopping $280 for that (exceeds the cost of many new systems). Clearly, our existing opener was not examined closely as we were able to get our existing opener working. A major waste of $75 for the service call - it rendered us nothing and actually did a disservice as we were given bad advice.

A Response from Paula:
David/Jennifer:
We at Precision Door were very disappointed to learn that you are dissatisfied with our service. We have tried on multiple occasions to reach you and better understand your concerns. Please call me and I will do my best to understand the situation and make it right.
From our internal investigation of the detailed records we kept, your operator was an obsolete model and the technician noticed that it had probably reached the end of its useful life. While the immediate problem was a logic board that we could replace, he was concerned that other parts would soon fail and replacing the logic board was a bad investment. Therefore, he recommended replacing the operator.
I am glad that you were able to squeeze some life out of the operator and perhaps put off the inevitable replacement. I am interested in your comment that a replacement could be found and installed by a certified technician for less than the price you were quoted. We frequently test the market to ensure our pricing is line and we would like to understand how you were able to obtain such favorable pricing.
Please return my calls so we can resolve this issue.
Sincerely, - Paula O’Brien; Office Manager
